Private Investigator Training

As a private investigator, you can make a big difference in someone’s life.  Families and loved ones can often lose touch and need to be reunited. Parents need to find runaway children. Businesses need to perform background checks on potential new hires, or determine if an employees’ Worker’s Compensation claim is legitimate, or if the worker unnecessarily, is prolonging the claim costing the employer thousands.

A Career as a P.I

The field of private investigation is well-suited for both men and women. People who become private investigators come from all walks of life. Some are new graduates, some are starting second careers, and for many people, being able to work independently and even a work from home, has a great appeal.

As a private investigator, you could be involved with surveillance and counter surveillance. You could help locate missing people. You may work for an insurance company who needs to settle a claim. You may assist an innocent party who needs to find witnesses for an accident. A private investigator has a variety and interesting opportunities.

What does it take to become a private investigator? Mostly, it takes someone who can be a critical thinker and has an analytical mind. In the Province of Ontario, every person who wants to be a private investigator needs to pass a ministry test before beginning employment.
